How it Works
Project Blessing is an open distribution pantry. Come when you want (during open hours), take what you need.
Located by Lions Park at 150 S. 20th Street in Reedsport, we are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-3pm and Fridays from 11am-1pm. There are three distribution methods: indoor shopping, Grab & Go window service, and Real-Time Ordering with delivery. No need to be first in line! Volunteers stock the pantry throughout the day to ensure everyone has access to available foods. No paperwork is required. If you are in need, you are welcome.

Pantry Volunteers
Volunteers keep the food pantry running during open hours by restocking shelves, filling Real-Time Orders, and assisting clients who come to shop.
Delivery Drivers
Drivers deliver groceries to folks in our community who aren't able to pick up their own food orders. Drivers are needed Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:30 pm OR Fridays from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Drivers place groceries outside each client's front door to ensure safe no-contact delivery.
phone liaisons
Phone liaisons help place Real-Time Orders for clients who need technical assistance. Liaisons call their assigned person(s) once per week, fill out an order form according to their food requests, and text the completed form to Project Blessing.
About Us
Project Blessing Food Pantry has been working to eliminate hunger in our community since the 1980s. We serve approximately 1,800-2,000 clients from Scottsburg west to Reedsport, Gardiner, and Winchester Bay, an area with 18-20% food insecurity. We are the Fresh Alliance Partner Agency for Coastal Douglas County, working with local restaurants and grocery stores to redistribute food that would otherwise go to waste. Between these donations and supplies from the USDA, we provide about 200,000 pounds of food each year to our clients. We also work with the Douglas Public Health Network to make sure that those required to quarantine due to COVID receive the food they need.
Project Blessing is a nonprofit organization registered through the 501(c)(3) of the
Reedsport Church of God. It is supported by local businesses, service clubs, and the churches of LUMA (Lower Umpqua Ministerial Association.) It is administered by an executive director under the guidance of an
advisory board of directors and run thanks to the efforts of many volunteers from the community.
